Brand Marketing Claims

Copied below are the “We Are Special” website claims of other paint brands who promote themselves in the Eco/Environmental/Healthy paint sector – their USPs. If you can see anything here or on their websites that makes them special, then please do let us know, because in our opinion its all just marketing “fluff”.

We’re not talking about “planting trees” or “carbon offset” now – we are talking Paint – and what makes it Different – Special – Unique ?

Many brands say they are Zero VOC - which they say means "not more than 0.1% VOC" - Not true - 0.1% VOC is standard within the industry -

Whereas most Lakeland Paint is 7000x lower than this and some are 12,000x lower ! and we are happy to send the certificates.

All ingredients are declared on our website.

So, from an Eco-standpoint, do any of the others have a single Unique Selling Point? Anything that differentiates them from the herd? From the dozens of other mainstream paints out there?

And if not, then isn’t this “fluff” just more Greenwashing?
