A novel ultra-matt chalky designer finish. Highly durable, non-dusting, wipeable and super-breathable; not ideal where subjected to very frequent wetting. This paint, due to it's ultra matt finish, gives a very pleasant impression of evenness, softness and enhanced appearance. *Antiquing - ask us for Free specialist techniques data sheet. wipeable with care. We had the super chalky in white for the coving, so it looks just like real plaster although some is plastic. Excellent result, giving a bit of class to a 1990s Barratts brick box house”

“My lockdown winter project is to re-paint all the walls in my house, so I've been buying lots of paint and leaving lots of reviews. I use Lakeland Paints for all my decorating now and the chalky is probably my favourite for application and finish. I have now successfully used it on all my lime-plaster walls that were lime-washed 10 years ago (with home-made limewash). They have all covered easily and successfully, especially when using the white chalk paint. In fact I only needed one coat of the the white. ”

“Although I have used lakeland paints before, I was a little apprehensive about using the chalky paint on lime plaster walls that had been lime washed ten years ago with home made lime wash. The paint was absolutely fine. There was just a little shine through of the original white after one coat, but it touched up fine. Very, very pleased. Looking forward to getting new chalky colours onto all the walls that were originally lime washed”

“I love this chalky paint. It goes on really well, is easy to apply and clean from brushes and rollers. It doesn't have a smell. My walls look really matt and velvety white. The white is very white but not cold white. I used a brilliant white standard low odour paint from another well-known budget brand on the ceiling and the chalky white very much holds it own and still looks white. Only drawback to this paint is, if you can picture a stick of chalk, when new it looks fresh and white but as it rolls about and knocks against things with use it picks up marks really easily. This is what happens when things scrape against the walls, particularly anything that oxidises such as metal. Not quite sure what the best approach is to get this off when it happens. As it happens I don't mind a lived -in look. Overall very happy. Only needed one coat over an already matt white room in a large room. Needed only two coats where there was some old bare yellow plaster. ”
